I understand closing fall practices due to construction at Tigue Moore Field. But, couldn't arrangements not have been made to play the final two fall games at Fabacher Field? It would seem this would be a great opportunity to get the fans excited about the 2017 season and reward their patience with the construction delays.JMO
don't they need extra people to go fetch foul balls, since there is nothing to hold the balls in the area
last picture I saw of the "stadium" just showed the field, and with the old grandstand gone, there was no structure/ wall/ fence to stop balls from leaving the playing area. in essence no boundary to the playing area
maybe more of a wall/structure is up now,i don't know/ but it was written somewhat in jest
We need something positive to look forward to. Baseball and Softball are always sure bets to pick up the spirits of the downtrodden Cajuns fan.
(Don't mention the Tigue construction though!)
Baseball should take their fall ball on the road to the stadium they will be playing in next season.
Okay, but my post was written with the understanding that because of construction fall ball is closed to the public. I understand that decision, but It would be a great opportunity for some positive public relations to play the final two games of fall ball at Fabacher Field. Its a missed opportunity in my opinion to build up the 2017 season and reward your fan base patience.
Just left the site...lots of work going on. Looks like they starting to set the forms to pour concrete. They were doing a good bit on the 3rd base side that cant be seen on the camera.
They still expect to do fan day at the stadium. Should get everyone fired up.
With the team returning 26 from last year and adding 20 new players, somebody will be sad when the 35 man roster is announced.
Some of the best hitters are gone. I'd suspect many of the new players may displace some of the low average hitters.
I'm hearing Talbot and staff are giddy about this team offensively.. Like, gushing..
