Ragin' Cajuns settle on starting quarterback — but only they know

It's fairly easy to read between the lines here.
Re: Ragin' Cajuns settle on starting quarterback — but only they know
It's sad that we're still writing these articles 4 games into the season...
Re: Ragin' Cajuns settle on starting quarterback — but only they know
If I read between the lines all I see is that Brooks Haack is the better QB. Yet, he doesn't fit the system, so we will go with the lesser QB who really should be the guy who replaced Alonzo Harris.

I read between the sidelines; OC has trouble adapting to strengths.

Ugh. Close window.

Agreed.

Triple that.
We should be committing to Brooks, and if he falters, handing over the reigns and the future to Davis. Nixon should be pounding it up the middle and be your emergency QB.
They could still do this, but I think they probably have never even entertained this scenario.

Saw Landor on TV last night with SLU- Could he have been the answer?

Ding, ding, ding, we have a winner!
Re: Ragin' Cajuns settle on starting quarterback — but only they know
I am beginning to think the person that should be starting QB won't be seen until the Boise game in 2016. Quarter of the way thru the season, no need to burn the r/s.
Re: Ragin' Cajuns settle on starting quarterback — but only they know
After last sat, HUD has no choice but to change things up. Nixon will start. If he isn't effective, we will see Haack.
Re: Ragin' Cajuns settle on starting quarterback — but only they know
To me Nixon always seems cool as ice. Seriously, the kid doesn't seem to get rattled. That Tulane game a few years back and the second half vs. UK. I don't know, I just feel like he has the bigger will to win.

Dion should be playing immediately! Don't worry about a redshirt - use your best available

I do not like the new theme from coaches of keeping the starting qb a secret.
Aside from the obvious drawbacks of creating issues with team chemistry it also looks desperate in my opinion.
I feel like the coaching staff doesn't think that thE Cajuns can win if the opponent is able to game plan for the starter all week. It feels like this coaching staff has lost its MOJO this season on offense. I haven't seen a solid offensive game plan all season and play calling last Saturday was the worst I have seen since Bustle's infamous "run the ball up the middle 3 times in a row."
