Holtz wants to sell out stadium for UL
Louisiana Tech coach Skip Holtz hoped a pair of early-season losses wouldn't affect fan support.

So they didn't even sell out for Southern? And in their 'new' stadium? On their first game? And with half the crowd being Southern fans? Amazing.
Re: Holtz wants to sell out stadium for UL
They had about 17K last week in their second home game with a conference opponent. That's straight from one of the Neck papers....reported 20K in attendance, but looked like 17K.
They are setting the world on fire!

Sadly, at least 17K enjoyed their game!
26.9K did not at our game.

True Dat. For sure. But it's still much better being @Cajun Field, watching a miserable game, than in ruston.

Funny. Just a reminder, even with that debacle he had a better recruiting class than Skippy.

I said this before but I was impressed by the experience at your stadium. The pregame was festive and fun. We got in and found our seats easily. I thought the game productions were Sunbelt'ish--in terms of jumbo tron, cheers, and spirit group performances. Don't get me wrong, we aren't much better in that regard, but we are better.
Now, our team was better coached. I'm talking in terms of scheme and play-calling. (Some of that, of course, related to Diaz.)

So nice of you to share with us your hillbilly perspective. Cute how you can even begin to think that anything is better in that Hooverville you dwell in.

If anything Tech was doing on gameday (besides the actual football being played) you guys would be outdrawing us. You aren't. Not even close.

Excellent Hooverville reference. I like a little history with my morning Ragin Pagin!
Got our tickets yesterday, that was the easy part. Finding a hotel that didn't look like it had hourly rates? Not so much. We ended up having to go to Monroe. They really should just consolidate all three of those schools up there and locate them in civilization, such as it is.
