First Head Coaching casualty of 2014...June Jones is out after only two games.
Let's see if he wants to coach offense...
I think he was at 2 mill/yr.
This happens. The more you are paid, the more that is expected of you.
The guy is burned out. He's also rich enough to retire and his heart just isn't in coaching anymore.

June Jones resigning as head coach at SMU, don't be surprised that Mustangs make a run at UL-Lafayette's Mark Hudspeth to take over in 2015.
Mike Detillier isn't exactly my go-to source on SMU or UL athletics. Just sayin'.
Quit that ____!! Hud aint going to SMU.... Place is a graveyard
10-4.. it made me think that tech took "the rope" to ruston with them..(giggles)
ps. in the event you may not know.. "i am spam and have been since may of 2002"
pss. have done a cajun show every week 11-12p (cst) on espn1420 on wednesday's (during the athletic year) since 2003
psss. (big winks as i type).. not sure if you could find this out on another cajun site
Yeah, but he's not the only one... http://espn1420.com/hudspeth-tops-an...dy-coach-list/
True, but i've been to an SMU game and have season tickets to UL. Lafayette is much more energetic and supportive of a town towards their university. Dallas is too big with too many attractions to have all resources devoted to one university. Cowboys are the kings of football in north Texas. Personally, I don't think it is that attractive of a job. The only way they had success was from cheating in the 80's & the Mustangs are still suffering from the death penalty to this day.
I think that job is Larry Coker's job to lose.
larry it is "said" or "read" on a bathroom wall (winks) called la tech in 1999 and asked to interview for their head coaching position.. the AD at the time questioned "why" would you want to do that..
Here is an outside the box idea for SMU...Manny Diaz.
