if i were any coach in the nation i would be begging for a job at this university. This could be the only place in the nation that you cal lose the majority of your games but we will retain you cause you are good with discipline. So what are we a training school for pricipals now?? It is truely a sad day in this universities history. We have no leadeship from top to bottom plain and simple. I am one of the most loyal UL fans but i will have to sit down and reconsider my loyalty. All this talk about a new admin and new AD and they are just as TERRIBLE as the ones before them. We do absolutely nothing to make our athletic department better. We should just drop all sports and try to become an MIT or something of that nature if we are so damn worried about academics. How in the hell can all these so called elite programs fire coaches when they want to and they do not worry about some bull called APR. Well people can call me bandwagon or whatever they want to but i refuse to give another dollar to this university until we have someone who is competent enough to run our athletic department and make the changes necessary to take us to the level we need to be at.
What a bunch of losers! So Lee runs off a bunch of JC transfers 3 years ago and gets to keep his job because we cannot afford to lose any more players? Where is the logic in that! Also, show me in the bylaws were you are not allowed to go to postseason play in other sports for a basketball trangression! Brady at LSU ran off players ALL THE TIME! Was LSU football penalized?

A ROLE!!! Well what else played a role in them stay, the fact that we don't want to be sued again? Because the play on the court certainly could not have played a role. We like Lee, he's a nice guy. But results are results. And no butts in the seat will be the result of this.
It's not that we'd lose more players, our athletic programs would not be able to compete in post season play. Still this is tough to swallow

Our entire athletic program is a joke! I am not going to except this type of BS anymore...I will not attend a game next year and I honestly don't care if either of these 2 programs win a game next season. This administration is no better than the last administration!
How real are these APR threats? I follow college sports pretty carefully and I have NEVER heard another University talk about it. Basketball in particular has a lot of transfering and quiting(declaring pro). I would think there would be many schools in the same boat as us.
The question is..are other teams letting APR determine how they run their athletic program?

Oh well I guess....Either way, I will be there to support our program next season.
BTW, I would love to hear anyone defend our administration. Even BOP and CajunFun will have a hard time polishing this turd.

I knew it was going to happen but it still ____es me off. The fact that we as fans care more than the people running things do is just plain garbage. I have been hearing for years that we are putting ourselves in position to be apart of a better conference...well in order to do that you have to WIN! This administration is clueless and every single one of them should be fired!
I'm just done. I won't be in the dome next season, see yall in 2011 if lee isn't there.
This should give other UL coaches a plan forward.
Come in, run a few players off, put your "system" in, start losing, blame others, continue losing, keep job because of APR fallout!
As someone else said, a UL coaching gig has got to be one of the best jobs in the world.
