Can we hold it playing the likes of ULM? Sweet regardless.

Just playing ULM by themselves, yes ... provided they sweep. It would take some really bad play by Cajun opponents to drop them out of the Top 8 this weekend. They may even keep the #5 position depending on what Oregon does in its two remaining games vs. Arizona State.

Just so everyone will be prepared, LSU is not out of the picture to host a regional. The dominoes are already falling into place for them to do so, and we'll see what the rest of the weekend does for them.
Re: Softball Top 10 RPI ...
LSU A and M reaping the benefits of sitting 7th in the SEC. They aren't scaring any legitimate team.

Who would you rather have come to Lafayette, LSU A&M, Texas A&M or Washington? Don't tell me you're not afraid of any of them, just say who you would rather come.

LSU, Texas A&M, then Washington. LSU and Texas A&M are close. I would rather not see Washington at the regional round. This time ... a #2 seed from some other conference than the Pac-12.

Sweep ULM, Ladies, and hopefully UL holds serve at #5!

It's a toss up between LSU and TAMU because they are so similar in overall record, hitting, and pitching. I like the matchup between our bats and both teams' pitching (more so TAMU). The Aggies have a little more pop in their bats, but a higher team era.

"Who cares, LSU sucks and I do not come here to read about them."
Then don't read about them. But don't expect me not to talk about them when many people are expecting them to come here for the regional.

Who are you quoting?

That little fellow rolling around in his brain. I killed a post asking the very same question.

The creature that gave me a negative reputation mark for noting that LSU may host their own regional and not come here.

The Cajuns will fall further behind #4 Georgia ... but will be no worse than #6 this week ... and may hold on to the #5 spot (they were essentially tied with #6 Oregon coming into the week) as the Ducks had two RPI damaging games vs. Utah Valley, while going 1-1-1 against a good Arizona State team.
