Tough break for TB. Haack will have a tough test next week, but from what he showed at the end of the game last night, he's up to it.
This is where "names" are made.
Haack showed a great arm when he had all day to throw. He really concerned me when there was a little bit of pressure. Hope TB is back for bowl game.
Three weeks is an ultra quick recovery.
If his arm is broken, not fractured, there is no way he will be ready to play in 3 weeks.
Given the situation, Haack was outstanding. First significant playing time, down to a rival, obvious passing downs, ULM smelled blood.. He was very impressive IMO.
Broken = fractured
Fractured = broken
They both mean the same thing.
I wish you a speedy recovery Terrance!
Tighten up those shoe laces Master Haack and report to the bridge on the double!
And Deshai Landor should sleep with one eye opened.
A fracture and a break are not the same. You can have a fracture in a bone but it's still in place. A break needs to be reset and put back together with hardware.
Get well soon TB, Geaux Haack!
Time for Haack Attack part 2!! :)
Geaux Cajuns!!!!
Excuse me, a fracture and a clean break are not at all the same thing. Either way, he's not playing in 3 weeks.
I wonder if Stevie P will do a "Shhhhake it up, Brooks Haack" when he throws a touchdown.
Medically speaking, a fracture and a break are the same thing. The terms "displaced" and "non-displaced" are the correct terms to differentiate between what is commonly referred to as a "clean break" and a "fracture"
I broke one of the bones in my hand a few years back. It did not require surgery and was reset. It healed up pretty quickly because it was a "clean break." The doctor said a fracture may have taken longer to heal.
Maybe Dr. Fun can add some insight.. Paging Dr. Fun, Paging Dr. Fun.
It still seems unlikely he will play in the NO Bowl. This may be Coach speak on Hud's part.
We'll your not quite excused. There are two class of fractures. Open and closed. With the classes there are many types such as compound, oblique, transverse, greenstick etc...
But you are right he is not playing Saturday and I would be amazed if he plays for the NOLA bowl.
Good luck Mr Haack! I am sure the board and fans will be pulling for you!
I listened to 1420 this morning and they said that under the circumstances, with Haack coming in with around 2 minutes to play, having to make up 10 points, no playing time at all, no warmup, to be able to score 7 and put them in a position to at least tie is really good. He'll get practice with the 1st team this week and they expect him to be better.
And you know that this team will rally and protect him. I expect this offensive line to be a wall for him. They know what's on the line and they have alot of pride.
Hope for a speedy recovery for TD. I love what I saw from Haack last night. His throws have a lot of zip and are dead on. Butler missed a beautiful pass near the sideline. If I recall about 25 yes and it had little arc. Next year I hope coach lets them battle for the start with no preference for being a sr. Haack has a mans arm. Lets see how he can lead. GEAUX Cajuns
