I also see the Cajuns are playing at Illinois in '08. I think I may have to see the Cajun football squad in person for the first time :)

As I read this, I conclude he will have 1 and 3/4 season to play for us. He will be eligible after the semester ends next December. Therefore he will probably miss about 6 games next year.

Dang, from NO "aircraft carriers" to a whole fleet? Can we stand the prosperity?

Where does it say that he's coming here? Or, who did you hear that from?

Here is a little something to add fuel to the hype! If it is true...Barr and Adeife to contend with in the paint...College basketball world, LOOk OUT! ..O..

The transfer from UNLV is not a done deal until the next semester starts. Once he enrolls in school and takes a class, it is official. He will be eligible next season once the 2008 fall semester ends which is early December. That means he will miss somewhere around 6 games and will then have 1 3/4 years of eligibility for us. He does not do anything for us this season and we will continue to have problems with strong post guys for the entire season. In fact, our next game is against FAU and they have one of the best inside players in the conference with a guy named Monroe.

Exprss I believe you have esquire wrong. We were not bashing the kids only bringing up why they were saying he left UNLV. On that knowledge I made my comment that maybe he is a guy that could bring down the team but if you say you know more about it than us I feel confident that he would be a solid player for us.

Ron Kruger is a coach. When do you know a coach is lying? Usually when their lips move. Another coach is John Brady and he has run more good talent away than I can count over the years. Not every one of those kids were bad seeds. I guess when somebody uses a word like bad seed it tells me a lot more about what he is thinking than I hope he can share time.
I don't know what cause the blow up, but as long as we are guessing maybe Kruger promised him lots of playing time. Maybe the reason he went there was to expose his talents for the NBA and the coach renigned. It would not be the first time. Mabye is was just a bad fit for both, all I am saying is he was not a bad seed prior to his one game at UNLV, as far as I have been
able to find out.
So Coach Lee and company are bringing a bevy of big men. I like that because not everybody lives up to their hype, not everybody fits every program.

The more big men we get, the greater the odds one can contribute. He may pan out while one of the guys signed early becomes a disappointment. You never know which player will turn things around. If he is a problem, he won't last. Coach Lee seems to be able to get guys to focus. Proof is the way Southall got his act together his last year while the guys who sat out last year due to grades are now doing well academically and on the court. It's like bringing in Bureau this summer when we already had Dees and Milsap. It turns out he may be better than both. Quite a coup for Coach Lee to get this guy. LSU wanted him to play a year without a scholarship, but he chose to do that here. We got lucky there as he flew under the radar due to not playing summer AAU ball. As far as the UNLV transfer, I think he played one game this year in which he scored 15 points in 15 minutes. Obviously he thought 15 minutes was not enough in his mind which led to a parting of the ways. Regardless, it will be nice to see competition with inside guys next season. I bet the transfer toes the line as this is his last chance.

You gotta be kidding me!...anyway, did you even read my statement? Judging from your response it looks like you did...with your super hero mask on...which apparently has just slightly distorted you super vision!
Sometimes displaying a little breavity coupled with aspects being coy is the best option. I'll take that route this time.
ps...I'm attempting to trash talk...are your spider senses tingling yet?
Re: UL vs Eastern Tenn. State (Travis Bureau)
With the guards and forwards we have, plus the big guys coming in next year should be interesting. When was the last time we had a pg have a double double? Should be one of the best teams we have had in years. Grandigo, Daigle, Gary, Bureau, The UNLV transfer who they say is a block machine, Barr, Milsap( who was Freshman of the year last year) Dison, Bloom. If anything the depth should be unreal. I say we should finish around 500 this year and the next two to three years should be interesting. It is just really fun to see a team grow up together.

I think that is Lon Kruger, not Ron. Otherwise, I'm with you on this.

Well there you go. Ron was indeed a bad guy, but Lon is OK from everything I have been able to recall. :o: :o: :o:

I would not have taken a chance on a guy with his history, but its Coach Lee's decision:

Don't get me wrong I hope he works out, it definately looks like he has talent. But I disagree that we did not have a choice. We have already signed Barr. Further, UNLV coach Lon Kruger made a choice to play the rest of the season with no Center rather than keep this guy on the team. That is bad.
Re: UL vs Eastern Tenn. State (Travis Bureau)
This may be difficult to remember, but there were some of these same issues with Brian Mitchell as a freshman when he first came to UL. "You're a stud in high school then you suddenly have to earn your way the next year in college". It looks like Adeife's situation is strictly "attitude". This can be corrected with a strong leader. it's when the problems are "off the court" that things get a little too shaky at times.
