WKU names Petrino new coach...
And the goat his new mistress.
Re: WKU names Petrino new coach...
Thought I heard on Cajun T's show that ASU was excited about Petrino. Guess they lost the bid.
Re: WKU names Petrino new coach...
Preachers in Jonesboro were not impressed with his come to Jesus moment during the interview.

That's cruel. Funny but cruel. BTW, I think it's probably not appropriate to put Petrino, preahers, Jesus references, & goat love in the same thread. It just doesn't feel right guys.

BWK, I think you may have stumbled onto something here.
I'm calling it now, 1-2 years with the goats at WKU, then he "steers" off to longhorn country to replace Mack Brown!
Re: WKU names Petrino new coach...
I was thinking with his history of moving on the fly, he might take the Colorado job tomorrow. This would kill two birds with one stone, Kind of like he did with the Cardinals & the Falcons.
Re: WKU names Petrino new coach...
Hope they enjoy the rental.
Re: WKU names Petrino new coach...
I heard some rumblings of Saban to the Browns........wonder if that has legs.......
Re: WKU names Petrino new coach...
WKU is probably using this for name recognition a pr. They want to show they are serious about football and appearore valuable to cusa. Just a thought

you're right. Petrino has spent the whole day making the talk show circuit. i know for sure he was on both Mike and Mike and the Dan Patrick show. Just today he has gotten WKU more positive publicity then we have really gotten in years

I think Cowherd mentioned something like that on his show the other day. If he would move that would surprise the heck out of me but I guess when you look at Pete Caroll's second or third shot at the NFL he might think about giving it another shot.

You and Tim Brando think alike. On his show today he opined that WKU, who plays Tennessee, and Kentucky to open the season, will be a hot television commodity. In addition he said that should the Hilltoppers upset the Vols there will be hell to pay at Rock Top. Many vocal Vol fans are totally unhappy with their hire.
Frankly I would not be surprised one iota if the Toppers do a MoanRow with these two schools. If they catch Tennessee flat like the Hoax caught the Hogs, then they could easily be 2-0 and the talk of the NCAA FBS.
Re: WKU names Petrino new coach...
Petrino is a great coach but on the flip side runs totally different system than Stanford/wku runs. The players at wku are not anywhere near patrino's type players scheme wise. Wku was built to pound the football with 3 TE sets. Petrino is a wide open spread guy. Could play a factor, especially early in the season. Tennessee and Kentucky will bot have new coaches as well, should be interesting.
