Ragin’ Cajuns outfielder Christi Orgeron was one of 32 softball players from around the country to arrive in Ashland, Ohio on Saturday for the USA Softball Women’s National Team selection camp the Amateur Softball Association (ASA) of America announced today.

Congratulations to Christi Orgeron, who was again selected to the US National Softball team. She was the first Cajun to be selected, and now she's the first two time member.

For the second consecutive year, Ragin’ Cajuns outfielder Christi Orgeron was selected to the 2012 USA Softball Women’s National Team as announced Wednesday by the Amateur Softball Association (ASA) of America and USA Softball.
Christi went 3-5 with three RBI's in the two exhibition games over the weekend. She played right field in the first game, and left field in the second.

For those who might want to catch Cajun Christi Orgeron and the US National Softball team, their exhibition game Saturday June 23rd against Canada will be televised at 6pm central time on ESPN and ESPN3.

It was great! She didn't start, but went 1 for 2 with a strike out and a walk off two run triple in the 6th to run rule Canada. I think USA won something in the ball park of 9 to 1.
Damn---I was watching and forgot to go back!! ----I wish I knew how these boards can get videos to play on their deal----one day I am gonna hire a guy to do all this stuff and make this thing really fun!!!!

Ragin’ Cajuns outfielder Christi Orgeron led the charge offensively for Team USA in an 8-0 victory over Puerto Rico in their opening game of the World Cup of Softball presented by Lumber Liquidators, Thursday evening.
I have to say I have a pet peeve with sports announcers who don't do their homework.
Last week when the USA team played Canada, the ESPN announcers said that it was Christi's first time playing for the national team. This is actually her second summer playing for the national team.
Last night watching the TV3 sports, they had Christi going 2-3 with 3 RBI's last night against Puerto Rico instead of 2-2 with 2 RBI's and a sacrifice.
A little prep work please.
In my defense , I was just going off what the official box score credited her with. I watched the game and only saw 2 RBIs as well. But hey if they are going to credit her with 3, I'll give her 3.
