Re: SBC - Week 7 Attendance
I’m telling you that we need to use Troy attendance math. If we did, we could claim 25,000 this past weekend.
And I watched some of the ULM game. There is no way looking at that crowd that 22,645 were there.

Week Seven Attendance
10/10/2024
CCU @ JMU - 25,622
10/12/2024
ODU @ GSU - 12,280
USM @ ULM - 22,645
stAte @TxSt - 28,000
App @ Louisiana - 14,058
UM @ GS - 24,048
If ULM has 22k in that stadium they were disguised as seats.
Re: SBC - Week 7 Attendance
Our administration has only thier selves to blame. If they hire people who can actually count, we would have actual results.
Re: SBC - Week 7 Attendance
Regardless of what the number says, it was a pathetic showing Saturday.
Re: SBC - Week 7 Attendance
Our academic powerhouse students can’t be bothered with athletics. Dupre was PACKED on Saturday evening. Everyone crunching numbers and poring over textbooks. I tried to remain quiet, not disturb the process, and just observe greatness, but I did have a couple outbursts of hollering out, “R1!” I was always greeted with a harsh shh but the student would inevitably look back up and give me a smile and thumbs up. At the end of the day, they understand people get excited watching students perform academically at such a high level and appreciate the support.
Anyone suggesting our students and alumni were in Baton Rouge on Saturday or at home watching LSU and Ole Miss simply doesn’t understand this community. I know of at least a dozen committee gatherings that occurred throughout Acadiana Saturday evening with alumni brainstorming ideas for ways we can promote diversity and inclusion more in our daily practices. I know of a couple that actually filed noise complaints about the ruckus coming from Cajun Field disturbing their quiet thought sessions. You all are upset about 14,000. Im trying to figure out how we can get less. Can you imagine how much productivity would have been disturbed with a crowd of 25,000+? I shudder to think.

Would an accurate count even increase attendance to 20,000? Doubtful. It is truly sad that we don't fill this stadium. Will anyone at UL ever address WHY?

LSU games will always lower our crowd. Even with great plans in place.
Games all being on tv(espn+) have affected attendance going back to the beginning of espn+
Game day blunders, lack of water in the heat. Long lines at the concessions, turning people away at the gate for wrong reasons…….
Then we have a bad crowd and it’s like they think they fixed all the problems. Eventually we get 20,000 again and the same problems are back. This stadium/admin/gameday setup has never been able to handle large crowds. Hopefully it gets resolved with the new stadium. But tv and lsu affecting attendance will never change. And it happens at 95% of the g5 and fcs schools near p5 schools. We aren’t alone in these problems.
PS also having terrible cell service in the stadium is a problem. I know my wife and I’m sure every teenage and college kid in attendance hates it.

Consistency is definitely a huge issue we run into more often than not. The internet connection is a must-fix for next season.
Re: SBC - Week 7 Attendance
Supposedly cell service will be addressed with the new stadium along with speaker systems throughout the stadium so the main scoreboard won’t be so loud. Hope that new video board is on the way. Looks like the existing one is ready to go. I also rewatched the game and they had a few technical difficulties with the broadcast.

We report tickets SOLD as do every other school. Just accept that this fanbase and city SUCKS when it comes to supporting UL
