Holy geez what a catastrophic 8th for Rice. Leadoff triple for ECU bc the RF had his sunglasses on his cap, then the only other out came via sac bunt for a long time. 12 runs in the frame

Mississippi State, trailing Ole Miss 1-0 in the B9th, hits a 2-run walk-off bomb to send Ole Miss home (for the season, as Ole Miss is not getting a bid). I was hoping Ole Miss would go one and out and fall behind the Cajuns in RPI this weekend.

That way we won’t be in the same regional as either of them. Along with Houston and Texas A&M, UL plays LSU and Texas in the postseason way too much.
It’s time to start playing some other teams around the country. It was nice to be sent to a non-SEC regional last year, but sure enough, game 1 opponent was…Texas
