Louisiana athletics operated at $8 million deficit during 2023 fiscal year
Per its annual revenue and expense report filed to the NCAA each January, UL generated $33.2 million in revenue, almost identical to the mark it hit in 2022, but the athletic department saw its operating cost and expenses ramp up more than $3 million to $41.4 million, creating an $8.16 million deficit for 2023.

I guess after all, Louisiana did not have money to hire a HFC at a higher salary. Just the facts please.
Re: Louisiana athletics operated at $8 million deficit during 2023 fiscal year
Total ticket sales dropped by over 500,000
Football dropped by 542,000.
One might surmise some other sports may have increased

Maybe they get one supporter to make it up.

This deficit will be a like chasing a runaway train.
We can't cut cost, you have to spend more, therefore we should have a greater motivation to increase our donor pool outside of Acadiana and into the larger metro areas (Houston, Dallas, Atlanta, NOLA).

Our tickets and donations were not good with Napier. The broken egg was already there before CMD was hired. How many times are the circle going to be started before we accept what has been in the circle forever. It is what it is.

Oh, so we going to fill an $8mm hole with $500,000. That math did not work when Napier was here and does not work today.

Lol. The cost of incompetence.
