Yeap. Arkansas will skull drag us. Its over before the game even starts. We have no shot. Just chalk it up as a Loss.

Without Baer next year, we will be lucky to manage one field goal. Our secondary is putrid, so good luck with the picks. Maybe Arkansas will get confused and run for touchdowns the wrong direction a few times. :( At least we're gonna get paid.

So...with all of HUD and staff's development of players...upgrade in recruiting...and the like, we will STILL get crush simply because they're an SEC team or something? I'm not willing to say that. I have more confidence in our program at this point.

The article is actually a compliment to UL. In the past, they would have never written an article to "make it clear" that Arkansas will simply "win this game". And yes... we still have fans that don't realize how good a Hud coached program is, and b) think when we play an SEC team... we just hope "we don't get hurt"... hahaha. Like we don't need to worry about getting hurt when we play Nicholls State. Let's see... Blaine got taken out by FIU and Montrel Carter got taken out by Lamar. What Cajuns ended their year due to injury when we played Florida at Florida? Really? No one? Amazing.
Re: Louisiana vs Arkansas (Bulletin Board Material)
Majority of people misunderstand "hope for no injuries". I don't think of it as they are bigger and they are gonna hurt guys...in the past, it really sucks to lose a guy for the year in a game you will most likely get beat 55-6. Just as much as it sucks to lose monrel carter in a game we won by 40. You never wanna lose a guy anytime but especially a meaningless game, whichever side of the lopsided score you are on.
Re: Louisiana vs Arkansas
I think that we will play them well but it is a new day in ARKY with new excitement----OVer the past 3 year they have recruited about 50 3 star/ 13 4 star/ and 2 5 star players----just saying that they have some talent!!!!

For the first time since the Stokley era, I honestly feel that we will compete and have a chance to win against an SEC school.

Yes... but you never hear anyone say right before we play Nicholls State or Akron... I sure hope we get through this without too many injuries. We are absolutely 100% as likely to be injured or banged up in a game against the worst FCS program as we are against the #1 program in the country. There is no correlation whatsoever to injuries in FBS football and the team you're playing. None whatsoever.
Personally, I wish neither program, in any contest, any injuries. And we've never had a "meaningless game". McNeese beat us in a lopsided game the last time we played. We almost beat Florida last year. Do you tihnk ULM entered the Arkansas and Auburn game last year saying, "this game is meaningless... I just hope we don't get injured." Do you think they played UL and said, "Kolton Browning can't get hurt in this game... it's just UL."
When someone makes the statement that they think we're more likely to get injured in one of the "meaningless" BCS program contests... I equate it to a guy standing up in the middle of the game and saying, "how many points do they give you for a touchdown?" I'm not the one that says, "what a dumbass". I tell him the answer... but I don't expect to hear him ask it again.
