Re: Fough night for the belt
Texas State commits the unpardonable sin, falls to Mary Hardon-Baylor 71-65 at home of course. But it was an exhibition game…

Looks like they lost it with poor 3 point shooting and their bench out scored their starters.

Texas state is losing to a non D1 team Mary Harden Baylor in the 2 half by 10.
9-1 USM is pulling their weight in crushing a really bad Lamar team.
Crazy I remember many years ago when Lamar was pretty good in basketball and baseball and I don’t think they are good in either anymore.
I remember when Lamar was good in basketball. They had Mike Oliver, B.B. Davis and Clarence Kea. They were very cocky. We let them have it in Blackham when they came out of the locker room. Probably would have been asked to leave in today's world with some of the things we shouted back then.

I remember being one of the early ones in Blackham for a Lamar game and a guy near me engaged Oliver while he was wagging the #1 finger. Oliver said “#1 baby!” Of course the guy told him bluntly where to shove it.

Those were some a awesome games! The football team sat right behind the visitors bench. It got ugly most of the time.

I also remember the Lamar players coming out displaying the #1 finger. We responded by displaying a single finger also but it was an entirely different finger.

Oh yeah, remember that for sure. It could get quite entertaining and amusing. For some reason, apparently the visitor's bench did not think it was that amusing.
