Re: Jay Hedgeman won't be back next year.
How many players has Marlin run off since he has been here?
It started with JJ Thomas and I remember a few others since then...
I wonder if this is something that is common among other NCAA basketball programs?
Re: Jay Hedgeman won't be back next year.
It is common for players to leave programs, but not at the rate that we lose them.

There was the first mass exodus that included JJ, Raymone, Colby, Kentwan, and maybe a few others. And we lost JJ's brother's (Pancake) commitment at the same time. Those are the ones I remember as they had the most playing time and potential for playing time in the following season. After that though, I don't recall Marlin ever having large groups of players leaving. There have been those 1 or 2 fringe players lost every year due to scholarships, like Kande last year, but I don't recall anything close to that first mass exodus.
Outside of losing all of those players at once, which happened 5 years ago, I don't think our attrition since then due to factors other than graduation has been that abnormal.

Marlin was 100% correct putting Hedge off the team this year. If Hedge wants a release, what is Marlin suppose to do? Say no?
I was high on Hedge before the season started. Hedge let us down.
