McNeese Week 2016

I'm fine with Raycom media doing the games. Say what you want, but Brando (Timmy B) used to do those games for the ACC and I think that is an improvement over the _____ ing ASN bullcrap we have been subjected to.

Somebody on the LaTech boad...or maybe it was the ULM board...said they saw the pics from the game and it appeared as though many of the 22,000 in attendance were dressed as seatbacks.

Were you guys running some sort of costume promotion? Or just using the Pentaphlegm calculations to count the gate, too??

The ultimate test would be to put saturday's game at 11 am to compare the two.

To make that comparison valid you'd have to put both games in a vacuum, same start times, same weather, same competing TV games, etc. We cannot do that, so on paper you'll be correct. Any intelligent individual knows there's more to the numbers.

Along comes Raycom to offer a deal to ESPN3. We will provide all the resources including the talent in exchange for providing over the air broadcast for the McNeese game. ESPN3 still gets their online content but now they don't have the associated expenses of the broadcast.

So as I understand it right now any entity can negotiate with ESPN3 to broadcast any of our games (or any other SBC team since this is a conference contract) and if they do it twelve days out they have the right to dictate our kickoff time as well.

To me, it sounded like someone wanted to broadcast the McNeese game and we were the opponents. Its not like we're drawing a ton of interest here.
