Does anyone know who the announcers are going to be for the game?
i hear that there many folks are disappointed with process. let us hope they improve. i absolutely want my ticket purchase to help the program, however, not having any control regarding my seats etc. was tough. "just buy your tickets from us, we'll call you later and tell you where you are sitting, thanks."
If I get on ticketmaster and ask for x numer of tickets and choose best available it gives me just that, the best available seats. I can't pick specific seats usually. How is that very much different than this? Other then not finding out right away where you are sitting. I understand with ticketmaster you can just not buy the seats of you don't like them but that won't get you better seats. I know you have the flexibility in ticketmaster to request certain sections , but of those arnt available then you don't get them. In this case there are additional reatrictions (rcaf, season tickets, etc) limiting where you get to sit. This is the price we pay to grow our program.
I definitely understand the frustration for those with late calls, and I imagine next year will be better. That's right next year.
I was thinking of getting a group of Baton Rouge people together to meet somewhere as they passed through town! I guess it would be about 2-2:15ish.
Anyone want to join? Anyone free? Any ideas?

What about the refs? I hope the bowl does not use sun belt refs. Anyone know what conference the refs come from?
Bowls are not allowed to use officials from the conferences of the teams represented in game. Most probably BIG10 or BIG12, those were the two who called last 2 games i believe.
You let me know when and where?
People still go through BR to get to NO???? Take the Cajun Country route---Pick up some recruits at W St. Mary, Patterson, and Central Catholic!!!! lol
So what bowl game gets the sunbelt refs? I guess somebody has to draw the short straw.
here is why i think their system is flawed...they were alloted x number of tickets in the 100 level section across the 50 yard line. they assigned those seats to those who had put deposits down by RCAF, Season Ticket, etc. level. ok here comes the issue, the best seats in the superdome are on the 200 level on the lower rows on the 50. So they finish off the first allotment, and start on another, following the same criteria. at some point they reach the 200 level on the lower rows on the 50, and start assigning those seats to non RCAF, non season tickets holders etc. this really happened in my office despite some of us being larger donors than others in my office, they are sitting on the 50 in the 200 level, while i am in the 100 level almost to the end zone. when we got our call we requested the 200 level seats, not available in the first allotment. there's got to be a better way.
No Oak tree around the Super Dome but plenty of places inside and outside. I think I'm going to skip the Quarter after the game win or lose.
Miles is now healthy:

Our QB had the same problem in his first start against Oklahoma State. He was throwing bullets to receivers 5 yards away.
It might have just been nerves since he has overcome it, he has great touch now.
If it was "just" nerves you could see it pop up again on the big stage.
If I heard Jay correctly it is a lottery system based on how many teams your Conference has in bowl games.
I took that to mean the Sun Belt Officials will be calling 3 bowl games. But since each bowl has teams from separate conferences I don't know how that works.
The Vitascope Sports Bar in the newly opened Hyatt (next door to the dOME) is first class and a great place to meet ..
