For me, the Orphan Barrel bottles were hit-and-miss. I still have a couple of them that are not open. I am pretty sure I have a bottle of the Rehtoric 23-year-old. The Forged Oak was right in price and had a great palette and nose. I think they were good, but very few were worth the price tags. Thanks for the recommendation on the Sagamore Sherry, I will have to check it out. The Midwinter Night Dram I have Act 2 and Act 7, both are delicious.

Re: SBC Championship: Louisiana vs. South Alabama
11th appearance is correct if you take out the vacated titles. "Officially" it's our seventh.
72
73
82
83
92
94
00
04
05
14
23
But about those 04 and 05 titles that never happened.
I'm still trying to find out where my piece of the net from each one came from. Cuz I"ve got em.

Re: SBC Championship: Louisiana 71, South Alabama 66
You can vacate an accomplishment (title) but you can't vacate an "appearance."

This is about a third of my whiskey collection. I also have a pretty good size rum collection. Hopefully, next week, we will start talkin' bourbon on the podcast.
Holy ____, man!!! How do you decide what to drink? LOL
You've got more bourbon than Total Wine

Thanks for that info. Jalen Dalcourt indeed stepped up bigtime! As did our entire team. On the Richardson issue getting kicked out of the game; if you watch a replay of the game, there were incidents between he and Samuel just prior to his ejection. There was a lot of physical interaction between the two and I think emotion got the best of Isaiah.

This is a huge concern. If he had an injury that kept him out of the entire second half in the SBC championship game, will it be healthy enough in just over a week to play in the NCAA?

Isaiah gave Samuel a “nutt check”. Not sure if it was intentional or not but one thing that we’ve learned about him is he always talks crap and he doesn’t know when to stop. He needs to learn to control his emotions. Jordan cannot play 40 minutes a game with no relief from Richards.

I’m just so damn happy. We are finally back dancing!! LFG BABY!!
We were there and I agree totally. This was just a great time! This is by far the best location the SBC has had for a basketball tournament. I wish baseball could play their tournanment here when the Montgomery contract ends.

Anyone know anything about Greg Williams' injury? Will he be good to go by tournament time?

Marlin said someone stepped on his foot in the TSU game, should be ready to roll....Thats some quality depth when you loose a player like him and you don't miss a beat...

There is certainly a lot of good things that could come of the basketball and baseball tournaments both being played at the same site. Unfortunately, the Blue Wahoos refused to adjust their schedule to accommodate the Sun Belt. The Biscuits were all in and as a result, we are in Montgomery. From what I understand, conversations with the Wahoos continue.
The SBC has made a mark in the city. Baseball would only enhance that.

Night life is legit. Seville is a great place. Think of graham on steroids. Dueling piano bar, karaoke, live bands in the back, dance club and more. Something for everyone.

Re: SBC Championship: Louisiana 71, South Alabama 66
I stayed on the beach for the first time (that's where WBKB was staying and I went early to do their game and just stayed there.)
While the beach was great, it was still off peak and a lot of watering holes closed early.
I didn't go to Seville Quarters this year and that was my loss. A half dozen bars, all with a different motif, all under one roof. Good times..

Peg leg Pete’s was a good spot on fort Pickens. We stayed about half a mile from there. Good seafood and nice live music on the bottom floor. Place stays packed though.

Had lunch there on Sunday. What time did they close for the nightlife? Excellent food.

Not sure. The only time we were there at night was on Friday and we left to go downtown around the end of the baseball game. Other time was during lunch.

I had heard (and didn't confirm) that everything shut down around 11. I know the bars near my hotel did.

At your age, you should be in bed at that time.
