LOL! Oh yea, the Hoax fans should all make a point of flying flags and blasting there horns all the way through Ruston. In fact, they should leave an hour earlier than it normally takes just so they can detour through downtown Ruston (does a Shoney's and a Churches Fried Chicken count as downtown?) and pass through Techs campus on he way to their Bowl.

It is entirely inappropriate... and therefore must be done.

I'd drive an old maroon and gold pickup around and around Ruston, dragging a big stuffed bulldog, a strung together bunch of tattered blue tarps, a pair of orange pants, a Utah State and a San Jose State flag, and a big sign that says, "Your girlfriend just accepted an invite to the Indy Bowl to be my date!"

Tech blue thongs make me look desperate and cheap. Besides, there is no Tech blue at a bowl this year.

I hear Van de Velde collected all of the stadium blue tarps (or as he calls them, "loyal fans") and is holding a press conference with all of their tarps hanging behind Bruce in a show of solidarity.

Well in the area between Erath and Delcambre there is a a shop to repair radiators---The sign says "A great place to take a leak"--I certainly would have a stop in Ruston and I think it would be a great place to take a leak!!!!

"Nothing brings out the lil piranha's and trolls like Tech taking a hit. The ULx boards are blowing up, probably more traffic than they've had all year, rejoicing in how we've got our comeuppance. I just smile and think about the fact that next year we are in CUSA and they'll still be in the Sunbelch rotting away...

Also, this will just further our name, remember there is no such thing as bad publicity, and as it comes out about how badly the Liberty and Independence bowls screwed us I'm sure every commentator on bowls with 6-6 teams will bring us up."

If it makes them feel any better, I'm sure there are LOTS of boards laughing (I mean talking) about this today. And next year we can take some solace that when they bring up F_U as two of the bottom dwellers in the country, they will be speaking of cusa.

And I actually think after Iowa St. the Liberty's next best option wasn't Tech. It was Arkansas State. Kind of a no-brainer why.
