Houston Basketball -- Apathy before Sampson
Houston basketball was like UL before Sampson became coach. An apathetic fan base, no attendance, sound familiar? This article is from the Houston Chronicle. Not sure if the article will open.

Too many other schools doing what they did (with lower results) for coaching not to be a factor.
