I don’t think it would be like that, and I do think it’s a good thing for our AD to keep and maintain any connections he has with Big 12 players.

But the thought that they would beg us to join if we just let our intentions be known is silly.

You might want to check the Big XII website to see how many auxiliary one or two sport members they have.

If baseball or softball moved the needle, Rice would be in the Big XII.

I would be willing to pay the extra travel for basketball to stay in a comparable RPI league as CUSA if it means getting rid of the SBC label and placing that BIG 12 patch on our baseball and softball unis.

This would also solidify LOUISIANA as our brand as well as a BIG 12 member.

How has that Big XII membership worked out for Denver, Northern Iowa, Fresno, North Dakota State, South Dakota State, Utah Valley and ODU?

I suppose Alabama and Tennessee have leveraged their Big XII memberships to polish their image, and maybe Air Force and Wyoming benefit from all that Big XII publicity as well.
