Lcitsh, roarman and at least two or three more also are well informed and well connected inside the program.
Those guys are definitely a couple of heavy hitters. I would also add BeauCajun, WestUCajun, BBCAJUN, CajunSball22, CajunAmos, and Mark Hemphill to that list.
Re: 22 SB Recap & 23 Fall Outlook
Only 3 Cajuns entered the portal and that was the three that were not with the team at the end of the year. Coach Glasco talked about how Sophie could play a corner infield postion next year and she played 3rd most of the time in travel ball. Trust me the throw is shorter and she can play 3rd regardless of what others thinks. The interesting thing is the Cajuns have two good shortstop coming in. One Vasquez who is a defensive specialist and Griffin who is a stud. If either of these kids get going early offensively look for the Cajuns to possibly move Alexa Langeliers to catcher. A main goal of the team will be to control opposing teams running at will on the Cajuns. I can't wait until next season.
Re: 22 SB Recap & 23 Fall Outlook
Langeliers brother is a catcher in pro baseball not sure if he is in the minors or in the big league. My nephew goes to the same high school she did.

He is with the Oakland organization. Alexa could make the switch with no issues. She is built to catch.

So she can make it in the MLB?

In several of those cases we pulled the replacement after a few innings and re-inserted the starter. That is a pretty disruptive way to handle pitchers, yet all three of our pitchers seem to have great chemistry among themselves and with their team. Maybe we just have a group of girls who value "team" over "me". Maybe that is the kind of player we are recruiting; because other than the three that were suspended earlier for unknown reasons, no one is in the portal, pitcher or position player.
Some of the people on this board who are legitimate insiders to the program and who are very softball savvy have speculated that some of our position players would be in the portal at season's end, but none are. Maybe there is a reason for that, and maybe that reason is that we have recruited a great group of girls who really get the concept that there is no "I" in team.
The answer to your question is in there somewhere. I am not "taking" opportunities from anyone; I am giving opportunities to everyone to be a part of something great.
Good points. I think one reason no one is transferring out is because most of the freshmen have been playing together in travel ball for a number of years. It's not like they did not know each other.

And Coach Glasco did an excellent job with the playing time rotation.

I don't recall anyone saying Pisko couldn't play 3rd, but I did say I have serious reservations because she hasn't played it in college. Her arm is not my concern, her glove is more of a concern. But no one has seen her play 3rd here at UL including you correct?

I have had a few folks share with me that they were concerned if she could play 3rd or not. I have seen her play 3rd for 3 pitches and none of these pitches went her way. In the UL staff I trust if she can do it or not. T what is your thoughts on Alexa possibly moving to catcher if the other SS coming in pan out?

I'd rather see her at 3rd first because of her arm and glove. If you play 3rd in college, the game is much faster than high school. I've watched a number of UL Softball regionals up and close from Brignac's freshman season through the last year I had credentials. I'm not sure who on the present roster I would give a shot at 3rd, but I would start with Alexa and Stormy.

Stormy played some at third and held her own. I would think she is a possibility. Alexa at third I don't think will happen. She will be at Catcher or Short.
