Well it won't be 'sparse' after the project is completed; and it will still be one of the biggest, nicest, open green space on an otherwise relatively compact/urban campus.

When I was in school there were no sidewalks down the center of the quad, we would play football there on the weekends. My point is that now it looks like East St Louis with the fence and the weeds.

There used to be camelias planted at every second column of the covered walk. There are still a few left near Martin Hall. The campus used to have camelias all over but no more.

The wall appears to be getting close to receive its bricks. Can't say enough how much I like this new feature......really adds to the campus.
And work continues on the quad
Concrete has been poured for the base under the walk of honor.
