We have done a craptastic job at developing and building a fanbase that is comprised of 30-50yo people. The largest section of our base are 50 and above.

That’s the biggest problem. We didn’t do a good job of connecting with and retaining students as fans for 30 years.

The biggest selling point for Cajun Field is that it's not in Alabama. Football is all they got.

He relays a simple experience and you turn it into a slight.

Here is another perspective: The playoffs change things, but historically, they will pay 500% more (or more) to watch their team lose only to end up in the no contention pool and still have to pay $500% more (or more) the rest of the season with no hope.

But and however, they do have the satisfaction of a trophy case for that price, I'll give you that one.

Basically you saying they are paying for past seasons, not the one they are going broke over.

I went to 1 lsu football game in my life. Went with a high school girlfriends dad(didn’t date her long.haha) I get the overwhelming experience big time college football is and what an event it is as well. But after a couple times it’s normal operation, then it’s just a lot of money, a lot of walking, a lot of hassle, and the team disappoints and frustrates you. So the regulars at lsu games are diehards just like the regulars at Cajun field. Someone that fights the hassle and cost of the lsu, Alabama experience but is a fan of football, might actually enjoy the ease of attending a Cajuns game and seeing a quality product on the field.

Why didn't you say so?

You only mentioned:

"contend for a championship" Lose a game, fall out of contention. Value lost, prices don't change.

"high profile trophies" past experience not current.

Gameday experience is based on other people being there, not your firstest points.
