If Marlin put as much effort into all facets of coaching as he did into crafting his original perpetual rollover contract, Louisiana would have a National Championship by now.

Problem is the administration was sleepwalking when they first signed on the dotted line and multiple administrations later have yet to wake up to what happened.

I don’t know him. I’ve heard he’s a good person (to hear that about a head men’s basketball coach is not exactly common), I know he knows the game, and I hope he has success. Gonna be his most challenging year here, however, it appears.

He is the master at saving his job. One weekend in Pensacola at the end of the 2022 season saved him at least another 3 seasons.

MBB in Belt is pretty bad this year. Really bad. Crazy to think but the "3 games in March" for Marlin is very much doable.....championship gets him another extension.

Anybody could win the belt this year, even the Cajuns. Then lose by 40 as a 15 seed.
