If it's true that Marlin is making $800 K, that is absolutely grand theft from this university. You could hire a young, hungry D1 mid major assistant for less than half of that and if he got the same results as this clown has gotten over the last 13 years, that would be a win-win.

LOL. If I were getting 'sweet perks' for my 'adamant' defense, whoever is writing the checks is getting screwed. I have simply played devil's advocate to the pitchfork wielders. I have said I have no personal feelings about any of our coaches but I support them because they are UL coaches and will continue to support them as long as they are here. Not saying its not time for a change but everyone should be very careful what they wish for. The wrong hire in any program could set us back years. I will direct your attention to the guys calling for Levi to be benched basically his entire career here as an example of listening to the restless natives too closely.

Here's the issue with the "everyone should be careful what they wish for" line: no one is paying attention now. Last night, we drew 1,417 to the Cajundome. Through 4 home games, we are averaging 1,727 fans. And that's tickets purchased which means that's probably a lot less of actual people in the seats. These numbers tell me that people are done with the current direction of the program. It's not an agenda. It's not paranoia. It's not some "evil plan." It's basic data.
