Just because the odds are very long against us getting an at-large does not mean things cant happen and we DO get one.
Also, this is the time, place and venue for those discussions. Or not. Your choice. As CE pointed out "we can brag and b-tch in the same paragraph".

At least, make a new paragraph...geez :D
I kid, I don't care.
I enjoy it every day. But that doesn't keep me from asking why a program that finishes with 10 losses in its last 12 or 13 games deserves to be in the NCAA tourney when other programs finish the year on huge winning streaks AND have a reasonable RPI to boot.
Alternately, I guess the argument is we should just Please and know our place, right? That's not me.
Here is a thought..... In today's climate of social justice does it not surprise anybody that NCAA playoffs haven't been targeted more heavily? Let me make it clear that I'm not advocating for it but think about it for a second....
I know it has been talked about before but what would the long term consequences be of not taking any team that finishes in the bottom half of their conference? Obviously this opens things up for the G5 conferences. Some of those teams start making multiple NCAA apperances and are then able to recruit better because of their performance. Does it start to level the playing field?
This is supposed to be about amateur athletics right? It isn't about the money right (lol)?
Like I said not advocating for this but it would be interesting......
Discussing the NCAA selection process does not mean we don’t appreciate the success. It is simply pointing out how all the tools used benefit the power schools more than is deserved. The schedule aspect is the reason and the power schools take advantage by not playing non conference road games. I am pointing out the obvious but my view is let us prepare to win the tournament when that time comes. People here can help make that happen by planning to be in New Orleans that weekend if they don’t have prior conflicts. Note the USA baseball series that weekend is not a conference affair that weekend so Basketball carries much more importance.
Not suggesting anyone Please. Although, i'm not sure what saying this on this board is going to do about changing the status quo.
And, the status quo has been the same for a long time. In fact, it's getting even worse.
Let's see how many mid majors get into the NCAA tournament.
