Must win?? We haven’t been to the tournament but once in the last 21 years.
It would be awesome to get another win, or more, but where this program has been, making the NCAA tourney is a fantastic accomplishment and we should all be proud of what this team has done. Anything more is lagniappe, and hopefully a great recruiting tool for the future.

Great season.
Congrats to the Brown family on being the first ever 1000/500 father son duo at the same school.
Hope it is one toe-tapping of a dance!

I’m just so damn happy. We are finally back dancing!! LFG BABY!!
Congrats to you & all the UL faithful. You deserved tonight. Now it's time to move over & make a spot. BWK incoming. Btw, does anybody know what part of Mobile County those frickin refs were from? It was a great site watching the Cajuns overcome a home town crowd & the USA remedial math & English teachers dressed up as officials for the game.
They dug deep to seize the moment. They have a lot to be proud of. Go Cajuns!

Hoping for Birmingham for UL. Being an old timer, goodness, the rush of making the dance is still sweet.
I have seen it reported in articles that it is $50k, but who knows.

Re: SBC Championship: Louisiana 71, South Alabama 66
Great win. The keys to the game for me were only nine turnovers and SoAl only shooting 60% from the FT line.
No GW and this team still persevered. Outstanding team chemistry can overcome deficiencies.
Looking at this team, I am very proud of them, but they don’t strike me as a dangerous tournament team. Now if Williams, Dalcourt and Garnett can all get hot in the same game versus a very good opponent then I will gladly be proven wrong.

I’ve since seen multiple articles with varying amounts, with up to 75k being the high figure for one of the two buy ins. I have a feeling , even now post Covid, they’ll struggle as last year filling brackets.
Detroit Mercy, even with a losing record, will be a team they want so a fifth year player can break Pistol Pete’s scoring record, which was set in three years. I know he’s from across the basin, but he changed the game. Records are made to be broken, but not this way.

While I would have loved to have been there, this setup was excellent. I had the main TV sync with Jay's broadcast. The secondary TV was 20 seconds behind so that we could watch replays. Then, the third TV had the statsbroadcast up.

And holding Owen White to a few baskets. They are at their best when Moore is driving and doing his thing and kicking out to White who just caught fire at the end of the season and in the SBC tournament. White was probably a tournament MVP candidate before that final.

….the post game USA interview kinda told the story….they had the stats on our guys shooting the 3s…..they gave this up to double on Brown and we were able to hit some 3s…..great game and our 3s and their missed FTs did it big time!

Cajuns 72
USA 68
sEcSPN is listing this as our 11th appearance. So it appears our banner has eliminated 2004 and 2005 based on an allegations ruling in 2007. However, ignored 1972 and 1973 being vacated, yet the powers that be are giving us credit for all four

Any thoughts on Tin Cup and Jack Daniel's Bonded?

Not a fan of Tin Cup neat. It is probably okay with a mixer, just not my cup of bourbon. However, Jack Daniels' Bonded series is excellent.
This is about a third of my whiskey collection. I also have a pretty good size rum collection. Hopefully, next week, we will start talkin' bourbon on the podcast.

Re: SBC Championship: Louisiana 71, South Alabama 66
Awesome collection. Incoming stream of consciousness sentence fragments:
Big fan of Old Scout store picks. I like your hidden top shelf in the bottom-left most cabinet. Sagamore Sherry is a great substitute for Midwinter Night Dram. Are those Orphan Barrel bottles next to the Longbranch? I took a chance on a bottle of Fable and Folly and it was good, but not worth the price tag, palate did not match the nose.
