This just HAS to be satirical. I’ve been lucky enough to work in the same press box with Schultz. The thing is that people don’t like that he calls it like he sees it.
If you somehow think that we’re saboteurs and traitors for being critical of the athletics program that we ALL want to succeed, then we might as well be the second coming of the ___ing Maquis

Zepp is 100% being facetious. Vic et al point to the perceived negativity on RP and RR and claim it's chasing fans away, Zepp is just making fun of that stance.

A friend was told this at the football stadium meeting. More negative media from fans than positive has hurt the programs.

No, no, no, no, no, your friend is obviously confusing his “h” words. He misremembered the use of the word “hurt” in the place of “helped.”

Thats not true either.
Water cooler talk is a mirror of where the programs "are" they don't help or hurt because the cause and effect is universally offset across the NCAA universe.
Every single school experiences the same mirror effect of where things "are."

This ARE a totally biased view.

Fans are biased because they always hope for the best outcome.
Watercooler talk can't hide the disapointment when less than optimal occurs.

And yea, make it every other year like the 250 other teams discussed above.

So don’t say we shouldn’t expect to be in the Big Dance every other year. It could easily happen here. There were 3 teams in the SBC that went to the NCAA tournament over a 10 or 11 year period. WKU, South Al and UL were locks to be playing for the tournament berth. In fact WKU got an at large bid out of the SBC when we won the tournament.
Low expectations for a sport allow mediocrity to be viewed as success.

Thanks for posting this. Looking at past coaches NCAA-NIT records.

This one sentence perfectly encapsulates the current state of UL athletics.
Mediocre products get bad reviews.
Now we have Vic back here to tell us that we should just be grateful to have a product at all.
2900+ reported attendance in baseball last night against McNeese. You guys see 2900 people there?

This is about as accurate as a Democrat posting about something Trump said. Show your work please.

His "work" is every post of yours in this thread. What is the point of having a program if it doesn't have expectations? Especially when you're willing to make your coach the highest paid in the league?
