Laughable. Just kill the ____in sport now
Re: Mekhi Garner portalets out to LSU
I wonder if there's a scenario where some of these kids overplay their hand and wind-up team-less?

Nope, that is what Auburn and Georgia were told. Auburn offered $150K, it doesn't look like he is visiting.

This can't be the state of college football. Talk about setting a precedent for the future. Such a blatant violation, yet it seems like this is acceptable.

I mean if you are going to sell yourself on the open market, why not shoot high?

What a sad state of affairs. I am not familiar with how this all works, but I can't see how these athletes can be allowed to keep their amateur status when they are in effect, semi-pro players that happen to go to class.

Because the courts ruled they can.

Understood. But that was before they started demanding a certain amount of money to consider transferring to a particular school. It still may not make any difference in the court's eyes, but it sure does in mine.

How the NIL was sold to the public: If Jimmy wants to sign an autograph and make $5 off of it, by golly who are we to stop them?
How we all knew the NIL would work: Hey kid, do you want $150k in return for taking a picture for Lee County Cares LLC? All you gotta do is come to Auburn.

Sorry T, Not that I think you'd lie about that, but that just sounds too insane to be true. ASSUMING you have this story anywhere close to hammered down, How in the hell can colleges even pretend that they are all about fairness & amateur competitive pride? All of that garbage would be out the window along with Oh, you can't say something bad about this guy, or that guy. After all , they're just kids. Screw that. This is playing a man's game at super high stakes. I'm about ready to wash my hands of football all together. I don't need the stress in my life any more.

Goodbye. Nobody cares about the gold egg laying goose.
I’m literally hearing that being a rich school is just another asset like winning tradition. Seems only thing that matters are the elite players getting to wealthy fan base.
