To answer your question, the ownership tried to make the organization bigger than it was with ever-increasing ticket prices, nonsensical promotions that didn't work, and getting rid of the original Ice Gator mascot. Since this "reincarnation" is going to take place in a smaller leauge, it will be easier to keep ticket prices down, which will make it much more family-friendly and probably a whole lot more fun.

The Gators will be playing in a smaller league with less travel costs. Add in the fact that they will be playing in Blackham which is a cheaper venue to operate out of and you are looking at a decrease in operating expenses. The intangible is whether or not the coaching staff can put a winner on the ice. The Icegators were winners and if they do struggle out of the blocks they could fail to recapture their audience.Quote:
