Gates to the Swamp ( SwampGate Project )

My check is in the mail (seriously).

However, I thought that when we wish to contribute to a particular sport, the check should be made out to UL Football Foundation (for example)?

You can write checks to UL Baseball, etc. but for this project, write it to UL Foundation then in the memo section of your check attn: SwampGate Project!!

Just found out that the Alumni center has undergone a budget cut(sizeable) and will not be able to match the Delphi monies that have been raised for the SwampGate project.

HOWEVER, Gerald did say that when 1 of 2 companies or both sign on the dotted line to sponsor the existing Gateways, first year monies would be used along with our monies from Delphi and RaginPagin to complete the remaining TWO gates!!!

Also workday times have been set:

Friday August 13th 3p.m. - 8p.m.
Saturday Aug 14th 8a.m. - 5p.m.
Sunday August 15th 12noon- 4p.m.

(THIS SHORT TIME FRAME IS DUE TO FAN DAY AT CAJUNFIELD TO GIVE ALL WORKERS TIME TO GO HOME AND SHOWER IF THEY WISH TO)

BRING GLOVES ETC(Steve Provost is making a list of project to be done IF we have the turn out we have had in the past ALL projects should be completed)

FOOD AND DRINKS WILL BE ONCE AGAIN PROVIDED!!!

This again is an opportunity to give back to UL a little sweat equity!!!..O.. ..O.. ..O.. ..O.. ..O..

Working on a way to get a donor I have in mind to either put the money up while waiting to get the Sponsors money or to put the balance up to be their donation or part of their donation for this year!!

I heard that Shoneys has already committed to a gate. Is that the real poop?

Here's a question that should be asked:

It's been said that these gates will bring in $25k annually.

At a cost of let's say, 8k to build them, the university is not willing to make an investment that will pay off in four months?
