Re: Student Union Construction.
I have the same question: I would love to see blue prints/floor plans/elevations of what the new union will loook like. Anyone knows where to find this? All I have been able to find is the elevation from McKinley Street (used in the all of the Masterplan adverts).
Same thing goes for Cajunfield....any drawings of those proposed changes?
Thanks!

The student fees weren't voted/passed prior to the construction.

Student have been paying for this new union for more than ten years now through three different student fees.

Let me refresh your memory. The admin claimed the weight room funds were in hand from private donations over a year ago. There were several discussions on this board about its location, layout and start date. Unlike the union and other academic projects, this has been delayed by the admin.
And since you bring up funds, maybe if RCAF had not been required to you use $1 million of its funds to make up for disproportionate cuts to athletics by T-Joe the weight room and other projects would be underway.
Do you ever get tired of making excuses for the admin? Or is that part of the deal to get printing contracts from the university?
Re: Student Union Construction.
No photographs today as it is raining pretty hard this afternoon. Not much progress this past week because it rained almost every every day. As far as photos or renderings I don't have any and since they have not been made public yet, I don't think they will be. The only thing I can say is that the middle section of the new building will be brought closer to McKinley Street the renovations will be made to the Ball room and Bookstore areas and an addition will be made from the bookstore to where Guillory Hall is ano for a new food service wing. Guillory, Old Corona and old Olivier Halls (the original old student union buildings build ion the late 1950's commonly referred to as the "eyesores buildings) wil be demolished. A plaza area will be built where Guillory Hall is now and landscaping will be placed where old Corona Hall and old Olivier Hall are now.

True. I was thinking only of the most recent.
