You can't be serious. We can put it on him because the few times he did have plenty and I meant plenty of time to throw, his pass wasn't even in the same time zone as the intended target. He was god awful.

Al Riles was open ALL NIGHTwhile in the slot on post routes and we threw it to him once and it was behind him and he still caught it and somehow still made 25 yards! Really coach why players in the first half how much they were open and exposed that defense in the second half
On the 2 minute drive. We tried to catch them with a run on 2nd down and got stopped short. We needed a first down. What's the better chance of us getting the first on 3rd and 1, a pass or run? It's obviously a run, so we ran the ball and didn't make it. Again, what's the better chance of making the first down with this team, pass or run? Again, it's obviously a run. We needed the first down. The situation dictated that we run the ball during those situations. It wasn't ideal but that's the situation We were facing at that time.
Maybe you can question the run on 2nd down, but that's nit picking. We had plenty of time at that stage of the drive.
Our offensive play calling was sometimes baffling, especially on the last drive coupled with poor clock management doomed us. The USM QB outplaying Jennings by a wide margin was a big difference in the game IMO. Still we had our chances to score more points. Too many missed opportunities. Also think USM plays a little dirty. Can't help but wonder if Dion Ray could have been a difference maker in this game with more touches. Our players played hard to the end.
Eli, Al, Otha, and those other seniors deserved a better performance from their coaches. Great players, they've made us proud.
Not surprising to see everyone piling it on the coaches. I was frustrated also. But it doesn't take a genius to see that we need better QB play. We weren't going to win a bowl game without passing the ball every once and a while. Even Luke Johnson, who is an LSU alum pulling like hell for Jennings to succeed, wrote an entire article about how we need better QB play. That was the difference in this ball game. It was glaringly obvious
