Our offensive play calling was sometimes baffling, especially on the last drive coupled with poor clock management doomed us. The USM QB outplaying Jennings by a wide margin was a big difference in the game IMO. Still we had our chances to score more points. Too many missed opportunities. Also think USM plays a little dirty. Can't help but wonder if Dion Ray could have been a difference maker in this game with more touches. Our players played hard to the end.
Eli, Al, Otha, and those other seniors deserved a better performance from their coaches. Great players, they've made us proud.
He had 17 carries for 99 yards. 6 yards/carry. He should have had 25-30 touches in that game. Even the ones that call us ULL and Louisiana-Lafayette all night said as much. Eli didn't see the ball enough.Quote:
