Red Helmet, Red Jersey, White Pants

Is this your guess, or something you know?
I think (I hope) we might be surprised by the number of fans SDSU will bring to NO. Like the Cajuns, this bowl stuff is not a regular thing for them either (although this will be their second bowl trip in the last two years). I think that the opportunity to come to New Orleans, and play in the Superdome against a team with the best nickname in college sports, will entice a few more of their fans to travel to this game than if they were sent to Boise, Birmingham or some other less desirable destination. Another good thing is that the game will be played on December 17th, thus being a little less disruptive to many family Christmas plans. I am hoping that SDSU will have at least 5000 fans enjoying New Orleans with the 25,000+ Cajun fans.
White facemasks
It will be interesting to see what a healed up and rested Gauthier can do. Also, LG should be showing no effects from the shoulder injury that bothered him for most of the year. Obviously both theams have the same records but I would imagine SDSU will be heavily favored in this game due to their SOS. The Cajuns have done pretty well as underdogs this year. They will need to come out sharp to win this game. Can't wait!
Black helmet
yellow jersey
red pants
As of right now, red jersey with black pants and helmet, I found out the other day
I would say that SDSU is favored (on paper) per their SOS. But, the partisan crowd in the Dome is going to be a major league benefit to the Cajuns. Bowls also allow for far more focused preparation. SDSU would probably argue this... but we are way more multi-dimensional offensively. We have a lot of different weapons. I think it will be a shootout and teams that count too heavily on a single prolific RB are generally on the wrong end of a shootout in bowl games.
A fresh and crowd inspired defense is going to force them to do more than run Hillman IMO. The biggest issue for the Cajuns is that we need to return to the defensive form we started the year. The Superdome is going to be a home game for us... and this team doesn't lose home games.
Obviously, our special teams need to come up big for us in this game. We cannot give SDSU a short field to work with. And as always... the team that wins the TO battle usually wins the game. We have to play smart and not cough up the pill.
Great SDSU will not sell the 9k tickets allocated to them, and some UL fans who were wanting better seats will infiltrate the SDSU side.
I do not know how many of you guys have ever been to San Diago, but l can assure you that their fans will have to want to support the local team to travel to New Orleans. Middle of winter, vs mild, beautiful San Diago. Now I would follow the Cajuns because they are my team if I lived in San Diago, but a trip to New Orleans in December for a minor bowl is not a great motivator for travel IMO.
I'd like to see the red helmets (white face masks), red jerseys, and white pants. Isn't SD State red and black?
Massey has us as 6 point home dogs.
Once UL became-eligible with an Oct. 15 win over North Texas, there seemed to be little doubt that the New Orleans Bowl would wrap its arms around the Ragin' Cajuns. The Cajuns, however, should consider themselves fortunate there was a game to ...
Interesting, i thought it would be bigger.
Vegas might be bigger. This is the Massey computer.
I'm with you on kuddos to the folks down there, I got my call on Sunday afternoon, really couldn't believe they were working on a Sunday, complimented her and she said they have working almost non-stop to get all the calls in by the end of this week. Thanks again!
My keys to winning: Defense: 1. Limit the RB to less than 4 ypc. 2. Take away the tight end. 3. Pressure the QB. 4. Play more man than zone. Offense: 1. Establish the pass to set up the run. 2. Go vertical with Surgent, Lawson and Green; they will put 8 in the box and man up, make them pay for it. 3. Get Peoples and Harris [and Spikes] the ball in space on swing passes, drags and/or wheel routes underneath after running off the secondary with vertical routes.
Ok Ok, I will throw it out there. How about white helmets like the ones we were hoping for with the "white out" game?
I like the fact it looks like we have the edge in special teams. There FG kicker is rough.
326 row 12 will be at will call. Should be low near end zone
Thought Nola Bowl had 5th CUSA pick?! Is CUSA not obligated to accept Nola Bowl?!
We are getting there Friday afternoon. Gonna hit Deanie's for supper....then what?
Need a unofficial official UL spot. Will it be Pat-o's like the old Tulane game days? Or Walk On's?
I'm like a kid waiting for Christmas. I want to leave now!
