As a fan I'm tired of fighting identity battles, and I feel like we've made strides and we're going to provide more low hanging fruit. No thanks. I'm exiting thread.
Didn’t mean to come off like a hardo, Tails. I’m just really passionate about this subject.
I’ve always said, it’s not a sprint but a marathon. I firmly believe this approach must be taken in this instance. No better time than now.
Geaux Cajuns!

The one with no Louisiana in it . . . Ah, no. . . we need something that screams Louisiana without having to write it out . . . the silhouette is it and it’s here . . . get with the show . . .

Ask yourself this question. When you think of Michigan athletics what comes to mind? Is the brand in your minds eye the M or the Wolverine?
How about Tennessee? Is it the T or the Volunteer?
What about Washington? Is it the W or the Husky?
I’m willing to bet 90% of sports fans think of the State’s “initial” in their mind. So why go against our best interest and push the mascot brand over the state brand?
Again…it’s never too late. The time is now!

I don't have a problem with the "L" it's just that I prefer the "L" that is the geo layout of the State.

I think I might have an idea. I think most people prefer UL over just the L, and the only reason because it would make it look more official, university has used it before, people are more accustomed , and also the LSU Rule?
So I might be splitting hairs, if we were going to use a Interlocking UL. Wouldn’t it be rule compliant if the L has a border? Which would be technically 2 L’s right. So let’s do that ? Like this

Flip it and make it white with the red (vermilion) back drop and get rid of the fleur de lis and this could look pretty bad ass as a alternate helmet with the white facemask...
