Very true. It is outside of the memory range of many on this board. Our conference championship ties, in both the Big West and Sunbelt cost us bowl appearances. We need to outright win the dang Sunbelt and bring the dreams come true for the New Orleans Bowl. There isn't a team in the Sunbelt that can bring a third as many to the New Orleans Bowl than UL. It is past due in my life. Heck, even at my age, I can still party with the best (almost)... but let's get on with it!Quote:

When I got to Troy, most students claimed to be Auburn or Alabama fans, not Troy fans (in Alabama its ALWAYS AU or UA). But in the past two freshman classes, it has been all Troy all the time for the student body which is great.

I can guaran-damn-tee you that MT and UL do not hate each other. We treat each other with respect, and have some of the best tailgates before (and after) the games-- and on Friday evening before the game.Quote:

I count among my very best friends some Cajun diehards.
As for Troy, we are not treated as well. Ragin Cajun tailgating atmosphere and hospitality puts Troy's to shame (not a flame, but the truth). We have, in the past, had Cajun fans in attendance at Troy, rooting on the BlueRaiders. Ask BigEd.
