They're 0-1 in bowl games in 2011 :)

I'm not saying the Cajuns won't travel well as a fan base in future years when we might be in a bowl 3 states away...but we need to do it before we say we travel better than other schools. A forty year wait...and playing 2 hours down the road isn't much of a travel challenge.
Jmo
We will have to put a complete game together something we have not done in weeks.
Maybe Marshall Faulk will get some NO people to go.
An official announcement is forthcoming. The Ragin' Cajuns (8-4) of the Sun Belt Conference accepted an invitation from the New Orleans Bowl last month. The Aztecs fell into into the New Orleans after the Mountain West failed to get a team into ...
So Tulane's new coach is the same guy that recruited Marshall Faulk to San Diego State????? I think this is correct!!!
I actually think that SDSU will bring more people than most cross country non-AQ teams. plane tickets from SD to NO are decent, and they averaged over 30k a game this year, so I could see them bring a few thousand to the dome. Even all the way across the country, and I really believe that they will bring more fans than WMU, Ohio, or Toledo would have brought. Add to that, that this is a good team, we are in for an exciting atmosphere.
SDSU beat...Army, Air Force, Colorado State, Fresno State, UNLV, New Mexico and Washington State. They aren't pushovers. Will be a nice test.
I cant wait for the matchup, will be very interesting. Am I the only person wishing Mike Leach would burst into the ESPN studio wearing a WSU sweatervest and knock out Craig James?
Ouch, LA Tech gets TCU.
SSSSSOOOOOOOO the winner is CajunJack55----congrats and your award will be mailed by T-Bine mail company as directed by him!!!!
The San Diego Union-Tribune is reporting that the UL Ragin' Cajuns will be playing San Diego State of the Mountain West Conference in the New Orleans Bowl. The Aztecs are 8-4, the same record as the Cajuns.
San Diego State accepted an invitation to face Louisiana in the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl on December 17th. _While the Cajuns make their first bowl appearance in 41 years, the Aztecs make their 2nd consecutive postseason after (More)...
And the R& L Carrier New Orleans Bowl will be played there, too. The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns will also set up shop in the New Orleans, making their first-ever bowl appearance, where they'll draw San Diego State, according to Brent Schrotenboer.
They already think they have won because we are a poor, uneducated, backwoods "louisiana directional school" haha. I cant wait to get in the dome and whip that aztec a-$.$. :)
Don't know how they will travel but they have one of the better running backs you will see in Ronnie Hillman. He had almost 1,700 yards and their QB's numbers are similar to Blaine's numbers but with a few more yards. Very efficient and solid. They got 4th in the MWC and they lost to teams you would expect them to like TCU and Michigan and beat the rest. They will likely be favored and will be a tough matchup
Good Job ESPN and the New Orleans Bowl, you go and get a team all the way from California to play a team that is basically playing a home game in the Supedome. The attendance and ratings for this game will suck. I am just saying what many will not say!
they rank average 54 and we go at 71---BTW we were at 120 for some polls in pre season!!!!
