JMU with best start in league, 2-0, both road wins.

Fingers crossed. Feels like every year people say this is the year Bob will need to produce.

He’s already missed that boat.

3 days in March could have him rowing in a contract extension.

If we finish around our average over the last 13 years it’s 4 days in march

He will get an extension we all know it ... too difficult to do a national search

I’ve been told that there’s no automatic extension in the current contract. Without that he isn’t winning the regular championship, and not likely winning the tournament. It’s finally going to end.

That’s what I’m thinking. Scenario: 5th place finish. Maybe make it to the semis. This school does not release coaches for mediocrity. Friendships are too ingrained in our business.

But here's the kicker. Which is more affordable? (Based on your scenario)
1) Keeping a coach for $700,000+ for another few years with a fan base that is all but given up which means even LESS season tickets the following year
OR
2) Starting off fresh with a new coach who we can pay less and bring some renewed energy to the program with a bump in season ticket sales
David Patrick is making half of our coach's salary at Sacramento State. If we finish 5th in the conference and the contract is up for renewal, the answer should be pretty simple.

Would be a home run hire! Not to mention a program saving termination.

You're bringing logic, reason, and numbers into an emotional decision. You can't put a price on friendship.
