Me i rather sit in the stands. Now yall live in Lafayette all yall live and are from around Lafayette.
Do you think people would just come to a game and sit at tables or standing room only with a bar and chairs, and games talking among associates or friends vs. sitting in the stands to watch football?
Yes, 100%
Just create something like “The Band Box” like the Nashville Sounds has.
Re: What Stadium looks like the new OLOL Stadium ?
Not only "mirrored" design but actually Mirror out the glass.
Through the years I was praying someone would actually mirror out all that glass on the west side box (old press box structure). Even better, mirrored black glass. The sight of all those shades all pulled down to varying degrees just made it look like dog s%^&.

I agree!!! The student side should have a lot of covered areas to help escape rain & sun.

Tulane exposed some weaknesses off the field. 20 years ago the smartphone didn't exist so take the unfortunate situation which occurred, multiply by a "post" on social for 25% of those smartphones and the whole damn town knows its not where you wanna be at that place and time. Flip side, have phones live broadcasting amazing new Swamp.

You could still build some kind of standing room lounging area at the top of the hill and keep a smaller grassy area below it. And, the new video board would sit above the concession area. It just looks unfinished in its present form.
Houston, we don't have a problem with this idea. I really like that. It is the best of both worlds. Parents can stand or sit and have a few beverages while they watch their kids below, on the grass.
And a benefit, that will make them turn down the volume on the pa!

The old concrete on the East side bowl will have to be dug out and redone to meet new code of standards just like the West side. The oldest concrete will eventually be the South bowl.

With both sides redone, will it be Soccer ready?

Probably long enough for a regulation soccer pitch, but sidelines not a safe size. Probably similar to Independence Stadium in Shreveport, corners are very tight to stadium structure.
Width is an issue, football is 53.3 yards while soccer is 70 to 80.
NCAA regulation field is 115 to 120 long x 70 to 75 wide.

Oh dear God YES
Lafayette has 10k UL football fans, and close to half of those are probably "fans by marriage"
Lafayette also has 100k people looking for a place to stand around and drink in public while pretending to watch some band/sport/etc behind them
