The negative effects of a parking fee has no bounds.
People will drop baseball season tickets if they charge to park for softball.
They really need to rethink this parking thing.

Where did you get this information from? Now that the Sunbelt has switched to 3 day series for conference games instead of a 2 day series, you have to budget $30.00 in additional money for parking? I can see charging this for football since the crowds are typically larger and it is one game a week. A large portion of UL Softball attendance are older people on fixed incomes. Can't believe that the amount of money that the university would get from charging to park at Cajun Field would add that much in the pot. I fear that most will say it's not worth it and stop attending.

If true, this will kill attendance imo. I am all for the university trying to maximize revenue. However, parking revenue from softball games can't be all that much. Will that revenue be enough to make up for what they will lose in concession and beer sales from lost attendance. Alabama is as money hungry as any university but even they have free parking for softball.

Parking will cost more than the season ticket

If y'all think $10 parking will hurt softball attendance, voluntarily admit yourself to the nearest loony bin.

There was a letter that went to RCAF members stating parking fees will be charged for basketball, baseball, and softball. However, I have heard that the fees for the diamond sports is being reconsidered. My opinion is that baseball and softball will not have parking fees this year. Not sure if that has been decided, simply my opinion on what the outcome will be here.
Re: Lamson Park Is Getting Turf
There shouldn’t be a fee anywhere on Cajun Field for softball, or baseball, or basketball. None of these sports have enough demand to chase customers looking for affordable entertainment.

Word is out. $10 to park at the nearest looney bin. Cajun fans are now having to travel an extra 50 miles to check themselves into a loony bin with free parking.
