He was at Texas Tech for 1 season. It takes longer than that to rebuild a defense, espicially when you are playing in a conference that is all about points.

I could be wrong but wasn't tech's defense much better the year before? I'm on my phone so I can't check. Now they may have lost a bunch of players the year before or something which would make the drop off much more understandable

I don't know. It was a completely different staff, with a completely different system. I can't blame him if the defense did regress under those circumstances. He is known for his recruiting and will be a big asset for us on that front.

Absolutely.. 'Merica. :)

If a coach was graded by his first year only, Coach Hud should not be a head coach. In his first year at N. Alabama, he was 4-7. We all know the rest of that story. I think Coach Willis has experience that we can benefit from and time will tell what kind of DC he is. I can't wait to see what he brings to UL.

Hud is not bringing a guy to ruin his chances for advancement of his career, nuf said about this guy.

What do y'all think of him as a head coach?

Well he has never been a head coach so I know you weren't talking about his pass accomplishments as one. So how could anyone have an opinion on him as a head coach, other than you implying he could replace HUD if he left.
