Y'all know I meant expect lol. And yes, they flat out beat us. We played a great game and they beat us. The size crap doesn't matter, we just aren't getting timely hits.

We all hear it: Hitting is so mental. Well, it is. This team had better find someone that WANTS the bat in their hands with runners on and the game on the line. Most games you have two or three chances to really bust it open. When we get our chances, we have two outs and a hitter up there that looks like he would rather be ANYWHERE but in the box. Taking a called strike three with two outs and a man on third in a one run game is BS. You have to know you can, and you have to want to hit the baseball. We look like we are waiting for someone to come out there and do it for us. It aint gonna happen. These last two games at the park were almost unbearable. I am going again today because some day they might break out of it.
(sorry, and, end of rant)
Do you really think this team can match what they did last year, in my honest opinion, NO but time will tell. In the meantime, I am on Suicide watch.
I can't believe we can't hit the ball except batting practice. How many grounders did we hit in the first two games this weekend. Had to be an NCAA record. LOL.
I am tired of mediocrity, now I wonder if our elite status in the state is gone, Let's see, lsu, tulane, slu, ulm, even mickey neese, and please GOD no, loly poly may move ahead of us in Baseball.
In the meantime, I can so my frustrations on the golf course or go fishin, until then I need a break from this disappointment.
GEAUX CAJUNS
I found this blog last year and am an avid reader and follower of college baseball but after sitting through these last two games I just had to join with my "two cents". I have never seen an entire starting line-up + some, slump at the plate at the same time for this long of period. Hitting is extremely mental and not one of these young men look anything close to comfortable at the plate. Whether they are uncomfortable with the hitting style or being "mind gamed" into this team wide slump, its getting time to question the hitting coach and style of coaching. The longer this continues, the more evident this will become. I think we all know these young men can hit much better than they are but are not. These kids do not like to lose or continuing to fail but if the hitting instruction is getting inside their heads and making them think too much at the plate, this will continue. The coaches can continue to publicly call these kids soft, but at some point they are gonna have to look within to target the problem.
Some of you my not be aware of how close the gap between winning and losing really is. We are this "||" close to winning both, and being a win away from going for a sweep this weekend.
Until we stop hitting like some girlie-men (no disrespect to our Softball team)...the gap is not that small.
