Yeah, because it is real money to the students and their parents. They would have to pay this money for something that really does not contribute to getting them a diploma and a good job after graduation. That said, fans and for that matter students, are free to contribute all they can afford if they wish. The fees are already outrageous so it is unlikely the students would want to pay for more of them.

All those fees associated with attending school should just be part of tuition.
If they were, Louisiana's athletic budget would automatically jump $750,000 without Athletics having to pay a dime.

You don't need to attend games to reap the benifits of a prospective employer readily knowing where you got your degree from.
I was a hiring manager for over 20 years, and I hired many engineers as well as other employees. Not even once did I consider how good a candidate's school's football team was as a factor to whether or not I hired them. None of the other hiring managers or HR people I knew did either. If they would have, they would probably have been fired.

Of course not.
The football team, nor any sports team should ever once enter the hiring managers mind. At least I can't think of a single reason it should unless they went to the same school perhaps.
Did you require a college degree across the board?
Re: Updated Athletic Revenues
Student fees need to be voted on now BUT to not take effect in 4 years......hence practically no one voting now pays a dime but enjoys all the benefits post graduation in future. Problem solved.
Your welcome
Re: Updated Athletic Revenues
Everybody wants the benefit but wants SOMEONE ELSE TO PAY . . . A what does that sound like . . . everything is fun with someone else’s money . . .

History has shown that seniors overwhelmingly go for extra fees.
