Was a team effort for sure. And while Rocco did go on a tear, he did most of his damage in the game they lost.

Very true, but some of that may have rubbed off. Hitting is contagious, after all.

Lol. I’m not disagreeing at all. Hitting definitely is contagious. But since he drove in all 5 runs and had 2 of the teams 4 hits in the Saturday game…it obviously wasn’t that day :)

I was at the game as usual and then I come back to read this entire thread. I see a team that does not quit. South is a very good team and we were 2 runs from sweeping. If I am not mistaking we fell behind in all 3 games and came back in all 3 games. I am seeing some of the Deggs’ fight growing in this team.
It was interesting that someone mid thread had to remind us we were leading. I am expecting a good 2nd half of the season

:) I'm hoping it was a delayed and very strong reaction to a teammate willing to load his team on his shoulders.

There is no quit in this team. Very true.

There is a lot of truth being told here. We gotta figure out a way to bring this show on the road. When that happens look out.

I still question a lot of Deggs decisions but a large majority of his in game adjustments this weekend panned out.

I’ll say it again. This is the Turning point in the season. This team shows they have fight and can beat really good teams.

It all comes down to late inning pitching and defense…. We have given a lot of games away because of this…. It can be fixed, but we need to start piece mealing the backend of our pin to win games. Our starting pitching gave us a chance in every game this weekend… our hitting still has work to do as this club should be a .300 hitting club. Another tough week ahead for our boys… it is time to rise and grind.
