No doubt, they will try anything and everything. Cajuns should be fired up and will not take them lightly because we want that 1st win. It will be sweet.

Wow! Now that article was just a little biased eh? But what the who, I'll bite:
LC and Laf happen to be among my many areas of expertise, having lived and worked in both fine cities. Lake Charles is rivaled only by Baton Rouge for its lovely scenery, especially west of the lake - I here rooms with a view are actually cheaper in the new casino - and the heavy metals and other pollutants in the sediment at the bottom of LC could be the raison de etre for superfund legislation. McNeese is, however, actually a fine place populated by generally friendly and helpful people. If you don't watch out, you can actually get a decent education there...I know.
Lafayette is a nicer place to live, except for the traffic. When I first moved here, I was told that there were 4 roads for 400,000 cars. There are lots more cars now. Roads, not so many. Lafayette people are, for better or worse, more likely than Lake Charleneans to drive the BMW and live beyond their means, but hey you gotta love a city with a festival every weekend. Lafayette IS more cosmolopolitan than LC and, well, Ragin' cajuns is a hands down better name than Cowboys (or Tigers, for that matter). UL is an all around good-to-great university with some excellent programs and some programs that are merely very good. Ragin Cajun athletic teams are entertaining and should be viewed, even by the objective, as on the way up.
Verdict: I like Mcneese, but I love UL; Lafayette is a really cool city, the only place in LA I would live and raise my kids. Lake Charles has a loop.
By the way, since I'm warmed up - Baton Rouge is toxic, New Orleans is a great place to get shot, Alexandria is a trailer park, and Shreveport is in Texas. Monroe, though, is quite the STD capitol it is reputed to be (but I heard that from a friend of a friend).
So there, the definitive word, indisputable truth, and fair and balance reporting which would put Fox to shame.
Carry on.
Halftime score: UL 10, McNeese 3
BUT...
Final score: UL - 34, McNeese - 10
Fenroy and Desormeaux both rush for over 100, Desormeaux passes over 100,
An aside: tailgaiting goes extremely well, McNeesers fall in love with Lafayette, many get over the "economic diversity-and-cultural-significance" envy endemic to Lake Charlyeans with regard to Lafayette. The city gains 3,000 new residents who have Texas accents.
Jim: You are taking this way too seriously! That article was written for Gary Laney's readership not yours. I think it served its purpose, and thank God we have Freedom of the Press because it does not exist on some of UL's other boards. And, I mean to the extent of Laney's posts themselves being edited - - EDITED - - by your own moderators because they did not like the content.Quote:

Enjoy the game. It should be a good one..~.
this guy can't be serious?!?! i'm waiting for the punch line.........................
You're right! There is no other board besides Ragin Pagin! It is definately one-of-a-kind!
Cajuns - 4 TDs = 28
Cowboys - 3TDs + 3 FGs = 30
The final Cowboy FG will occur as time expires after a Cajun turnover.
Then again, I could be totally wrong. ( :
