It's only silly to you because the message flew right over your head. I don't blame Mike for letting his guys compete for the job for a couple of weeks even if he "named" Chandler the starter. But you keep trying to fit that square peg of a two QB system into a round hole called your team & you're gonna find the unemployment line by virtue of a few 3-4 win seasons. My point wasn't going to be about what caught Bum in his old age & the mine field of letting your individual loyalty cost you your whole team. It was about an offensive blocking scheme that sucks donkey balls & the need to section 8 that scheme ASAP & go with a scheme your players have the ability to execute. If I believed like I'm being told to believe by my fellow posters on this board right now, my mindset would be these guys suck, we need to go get a whole new set of guys that don't suck & start them off on the toughest unit of the team to get continuity, by teaching them an unnecessarily difficult blocking scheme which takes years to get really good at IF you are an All American who has pro potential. But if you're just a good college player that can push people around & maul people you have no chance of being good. I can see what kind of future you guys are looking for. And quite frankly if I thought that was going to be the philosophy of this team long term I would be off this bandwagon so fast I'd set your asses on fire on my way out the door. Because personally I'm too damn old to watch a bunch of so called young coaching geniuses wet their freaking pants half a dozen years in a row before they finally wake up & learn the error of their ways & decide the cook is the problem, not the ingredients.

Our linemen are being asked to makes blocks they simply don't have the athleticism to make. That doesn't mean they can't over power their opposite number. But it does mean they can't be in a one technique spot & be expected to block a 3 technique defender when the ball is going to the three technique side of the field. If you ask a player to make a play he simply cannot make, you are doing nothing but exposing him & making him look worse than he is. And a lot of that is going on with this offensive line on play after play after play. Simply put, you are not putting the right hat on the hat it should block & asking to make the block. It's not gonna happen. And yet, our Offensive line coach is asking his offensive line to make this happen.
On top of this we do precious little double teaming, absolutely no cross blocking & I have til yet to see an interior lineman attempt to pull for a play, or see a trap play run.
There is a solution, the coaches need to keep searching.
