One of the best supporters of UL in the area. Thanks, Albertson's.
Picked up my tickets today. There were two dedicated windows for pick up. I tried to get numbers, but the ladies would not speculate on totals. They also did not disclose the largest number of tickets purchased at once. the only info I got was there were a LOT of tickets sold & a lot of people getting large numbers of tickets at once. This is great news, but the dome does hold 70,000 people. It would be pretty cool to fill it up for this event.
what are the prices and what sizes are available
Yes, that is what I did. You have to give them the person's name when they call you. And that person has to bring identification. I did that instead of going the FedEx route. You cannot have someone pick up your tickets on your behalf, without prior authorization.
I'll play anybody. But SDSU is the best match up. Followed by Temple. 6-6 Ball ST? I say we play Vermilion Catholic instead.
Please no to any of the MAC teams except maybe Temple. I'd be fine with SDSU in the bowl game, they are a strong mid-major from the best Mid-Major Conference, it would be a very difficult game for the Cajuns to pull out. While SDSU is further away from New Orleans than the MAC schools, round trip airfare for them is about 400$ which isn't bad, so I'd expect at least a few Aztec fans to make the trek. I'd still like to see one of the AQ teams, but you have more inside info than me, so I'll hope for SD in New Orleans.
I don't care who we play long as we win!!!!
It matters not... as long as red is not their primary color.
When they called me, and I live in Metairie, I asked if they could mail them to me, and they said they would overnight them to me at my expense. I got my tickets the next day a lot cheaper than driving.
I agree if being a RCAF member is a priority element, it should have been asked, and also listed on any email applications.
Good luck, on those tickets. Someone wants to sell his row 11 tickets, you may want to get those.
Why not WKU? Where are they headed? I'd like a second shot at them
I received an identical call last night. I had reserved over a dozen on Nov 7. I was told I did not tell them we were RCAF, and other functions we sponser. I kept my cool...raised a little hell, as cool as I could, and got a call back at almost 8pm, securing tickets in a great area. I suggest calling back. They originally told me the section we requested was sold out, then it seemed to 'open' up.
Jay, if you had to put a percentage on it...what would you say the chances are that we face a BCS AQ conference team? Namely, a big 10 team. There's been alot of talk about Illinois and Purdue. Being that you didn't even mention it in your blog I'm guessing you think it's out of the question, so I was just curious.
How many bowl games have ever had teams from the same conference in a game? Obviously the NC game may this year, but its just not something the bowls are interested in. I wouldnt want to see it. I want to match up with someone new and test ourselves outside the regular season schedule.
