Poor Granny Holtz!
"Everyone has been incredible. Coach Bustle and the staff were on the way to hospital in the middle of the night when they learned about my son. All the coaches have called more than once a day. All the folks at UL have been 5 star.”
That is saying a lot. Get well SOON Michael, soon enough to go on some road trips.
I sure as hell hope so :DQuote:

"Oh, believe me....we are ready for football. To be quite honest, we feel pretty comfortable about our game with you guys. Your offense is way down and ours is about to let loose. Most USC fans are concentrating on our second and third games with UVA and UGA. These games will determine what kind of season we will have."
A loss to a team that you overlooked will also determine what kind of season you will have. I doubt Lou shares you sentiment, but I hope the players do.

LOUISIANA La. — Surely the first day of classes couldn’t have been that traumatic.
Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajuns returned to practice on Tuesday after taking a day off to get settled into classes for the fall semester, and turned in a flat effort.
“This was the first day where I don’t think we got anything done,” coach Rickey Bustle said. “They gave in to a little heat today. There were some good parts in the middle, but it wasn’t a good day.”
The Cajuns have 10 days to go before visiting SEC member South Carolina for their season opener, and Tuesday did not inspire confidence.
“We’ll latch on to them tomorrow and see if we can pick it back up,” Bustle said.

Today’s 2:30 p.m. scrimmage at Cajun Field is the next chance to re-focus. There also will be a situational drill Saturday morning, one week before the opener.
One positive aspect on Tuesday was having fewer offensive linemen wearing green jerseys. That unit has been hard-pressed to find any continuity with players being nagged by injuries.
“The offensive line needs to work together,” Bustle said. “We haven’t had the same five out there yet. And, I understand (tackle) Corey Glover turned an ankle today.
“I hope they get to work together. The guys need that.”
Today’s scrimmage will feature game-type situations, with coaches in the press box relaying instructions down to the sidelines, plays timed by a game clock, officials and other details they can expect to see on game day.
Players on both offense and defense who harbor plans of breaking into the starting lineup will get one more chance to impress the coaching staff before the season begins.
While the Cajuns have been concentrating on themselves, Bustle and his staff spent much of the summer looking at the Gamecocks’ tendencies.
“We looked a lot at South Carolina this summer,” Bustle said. “We broke down a lot of film. We’ve put a few things in on both sides of the ball. The players will start to look at South Carolina film on Thursday.”
That will follow a review of today’s scrimmage.
As usual, special teams play also will be a big part of Thursday’s practice, including South Carolina special teams prospects.
“Friday will be about the same,” Bustle said. “We’ll have a scripted scrimmage Saturday morning (at approximately 9 a.m.). We’ll be in shorts and we’ll have more than 100 plays to cover all the crazy things that can happen in a game.
“For example, if a quarterback throws a pass and it’s batted up in the air, what should the defensive lineman do? Bat it down.
“We’ll have officials here for that one, too. Last year, one official we had here from Houston said he wanted to come back because it helped him, too.” -->
With work getting in the way of fun most of the time, I know most of us can not make as many practices as we would like. I found this over on ragincajuns.com and thought it would help
